Mr. Johann Christoph Michalski takes office as Vinda International’s CEO

(1 October 2015 – Hong Kong) Vinda International Holdings Limited (“Vinda International” or the “Company”, which together with its subsidiaries, is collectively referred to as the “Group”; stock code: 3331) is pleased to announce that Mr. Johann Christoph Michalski takes office as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer today.

Mr. Li Chao Wang, Chairman of the Group said, “I am very glad that Mr. Michalski joins us as our Chief Executive Officer today. The Board and I truly believe that Mr. Michalski will contribute new ideas and add fresh impetus to Vinda with his passion and rich experience in fast-moving consumer goods industry and international perspective. We are looking forward to working with him to scale new heights in the four business segments of household paper, incontinence care, feminine care and baby care in the next three decades.”

Mr. Johann Christoph Michalski said, “Vinda is a very special company and I feel deeply honoured to have been appointed as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Michalski has been a non-executive director of the Group since 2008. He has been working in the fast-moving consumer goods industry for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Vinda, he was the president of Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget (‘‘SCA’’), in charge of the division of global hygiene product category and overseeing the global marketing and research and development of the products. Previously, Mr. Michalski had worked for Fonterra, a dairy group in New Zealand and Unilever, a global fast-moving consumer goods company. He has extensive management experience in marketing, business development and product innovation. In addition, Mr. Michalski has once been appointed as the president of SCA’s business unit in Asia Pacific and is well versed in the direction of Vinda International’s development and the fast-moving consumer goods markets in China and other areas of Asia.
